"The cuisine of theTerres de  Mestral. Traditional cuisine and the Vandellòs I l’Hospitalet de l'Infant, Tivissa and Pratdip are a recipe for a project with the Alicia Foundation for the valuation of the territory, of the cuisine and the local product. It's more than just a cookbook, it's the written witness of an ancestral culinary knowledge. This collection, carried out by the Alicia Foundation on the basis of the contribution and collaboration of many people in the territory, has the will and desire to endure what would only be done with oral transmission to disappear under the signs of time.

In some cases, recipes are very unique and authentic, and in other cases are shared with the nearest territories, naturally since there have never been any boundaries in the cuisine, and differences between territories are shown more as a fuzzy cadence than as a ripping line on a map. But what makes a cuisine really unique is the whole of its recipes, the way to eat them and the small differences that are cooked in every house, in every village and in every municipality. In short, what makes Terres de Mestral cuisine so unique is that it's a cuisine that can't be given anywhere else in the world because it's the expression of a place, its people and its history. It is for all these reasons that the best way to understand and enjoy his cuisines is on the ground, enjoying the environment, the landscape and the nature of the territory.
